A Stylish, Scandinavian-Inspired Retreat in Hudson, NY

This year my husband and I decided to spend New Year's Day in Hudson, NY celebrating his birthday. We needed a break after all the wedding whirlwind settled down and a quick stay in one of our favorite upstate towns sounded like the perfect plan. I booked us a room at the RIvertown Lodge and loved every minute. Hudson, NY is a quick 2 hour drive from NYC and I was in heaven with the amount of art galleries and design shops on Warren Street.

This 27-room, Scandinavian inspired lodge was designed by Workstead, and features vintage Danish furniture, wall installations by Hiroko Takeda and fabrics by Zak + Fox. The thoughtful service, wood burning stove and minimalist holiday decorations set the tone for a wonderful stay. Plus, it has one of the best weekend brunches in town! All in all, it was a great stay and the perfect home base for food & shopping in Hudson, NY.

Where's your favorite place to stay in Hudson, NY?
